Is Toastmasters Training Cost Effective?

Toastmasters International provides very effective hands-on training in Communication and Leadership skills through it's network of 313,000+ members in 14,000+ Toastmasters clubs in 120+ countries. That entire massive organization is dedicated to just one selfish goal: helping the members become better communicators and leaders. Every Toastmasters meeting is a "hands-on" learning laboratory where you learn by doing. Your fellow club members will serve as mentors and, over time, you will become a mentor to newer members. It's an incredible program. I've been a member for more than 25 years. I've stayed in because the program works, because of the incredible personal growth I've experience, because I am still growing, and because I love to coach my fellow members.

But, is it cost effective?

In August 2014 I visited Dale Carnegie's website and priced just their "Communications" courses, which correspond to only half the Toastmasters program.  Being an American, I only considered training they offer in American locations.  This video shares what I found ...
